Home Education families file a Notice of Intent with the county. PEP families apply through an SFO portal (Step Up EMA or AAA SMP). Confirm live steps in the official portal or with your district before you file.
Follow the records and purchasing rules for the path you chose — activity logs at home, or a Student Learning Plan (SLP) and SFO purchase rules. Confirm current rules in the live portal. This hub does not approve, verify, or predict payment.
Each path has a year-end requirement (district evaluation options, or the PEP program’s testing instructions from your SFO). The comparison guide lists both.
